Beach of California ‘resists!’ The protest pushes the “kindness” while calling on ’86 47 ‘in an anti-trump message

About 1,000 people gathered on the main beach of Santa Cruz, California, on Saturday for a protest of the month of pride addressed to President Donald Trump.

The participants formed a massive human banner that he wrote “Resist!” In colors of rainbow as part of a demonstration organized by an indivisible county of Santa Cruz.

The 220 -foot screen wide, with letters reaching 70 feet high, was designed by the long -term leftist activist Brad Newsham.

The organizers described the event as an act of peaceful resistance and a solidarity show with the LGBTQ+community.

“It’s very important, more people [who] It can show our neighbors, our politicians in the world, that non -violent resistance is the way to express our dissatisfaction with the way our country is going, “said Becca Moeller event organizer in the sight of Santa Cruz.

But just above the colored banner was a very different message: “86 47”, a phrase that he interpreted as a call to “undo in the 47th President of the United States.

In jargon, “86” means usually cancel, eliminate, or even destroy. Combined with “47”, the number now associated with President Trump’s second term, the phrase has raised alarms among critics who say he crossed a line.

Earlier this month, former FBI head, James Comey, published a similar message to the sand, but instead of Kelp, they were shells. Since then he has taken office after the widespread criticism and actions by the police.

“We don’t need a king. We want to be again. We want to do friendly again in America,” said protester Beth Basilius to look at Santa Cruz.

While the event promotes “kindness” and inclusivity, the images told a more conflicting story.

“They claim they want to do America again,” but then they erase ’86 47 ‘in the sand. This is not kindness – this is a coded call to eliminate someone they disagree with. It’s hypocrite, “said Mike Lelieur, president of the Santa Cruz County Republican Party in Fox News Digital.

Lelieur said that local conservatives face growing hostility from the political left.

“We had vandalized vehicles, tires were reduced and the windows were broken. I was forced to leave the road and attacked only to have a Trump sticker. In our Union Union party, they saw us the angry protesters. It has been an endless hostility, and these are the same people who call themselves the` `peace party. ”

Only 8.5% of the voters in the city of Santa Cruz are registered Republicans, according to the most recent data of the Secretary of State of California.

Despite the message written in the sand, some participants insisted that the demonstration was rooted in compassion.

“We want to go back to the way we are. We want to do America again,” said protester Beth Basilius to look at Santa Cruz.

Supporters of the protest stated that “86 47” was a symbolic rejection on Trump’s agenda, not a literal threat. But critics say that the argument is in a political climate where codified language has consequences of the real world.

“In California, and especially in the county of Santa Cruz, the left is creating a political environment of non -acceptance and persecution,” said Daniel Enriquez, representative of the Republican Assembly of California. “It is consistent with the goals of socialist movements throughout history.”

Jenny Evans, co-leader of the indivisible county of Santa Cruz, defended the event.

“When a large number of people go out to do something like this, it is only one thing to show that not all say,” Very well. We will go along with whatever you want, “he said in Santa Cruz.

The event was also part of the 50th celebration of the Pride of Santa Cruz. The participants received the dressing of dresses with the colors of the rainbow, coordinated with the fabric that was put on the beach from 7 am

The protest was peaceful, but critics say they were asking for kindness while showing “86 47” sent a message that it was anything.
