President Donald Trump fired the director of the National Portrait Gallery, Kim Sajet, for being a “strong supporter” of diversity, equity and inclusion (Dei).
Trump announced the completion of a publication on the social truth on Friday afternoon.
“At the request and recommendation of many people, I am terminating the occupation of Kim Sajet as director of the National Portrait Gallery,” the President wrote. “He is a highly partisan person and a large supporter of Dei, who is completely inappropriate for his position. His replacement will be named shortly. Thank you for your attention on this topic!”
A white house official told Fox News Digital that Sajet had given $ 3,982 to Democrats, including presidential campaigns for former President Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton. Sajet was also given to other Democrats, including former President Kamala Harris.

The White House also pointed to Trump’s photo of the gallery, which was curated by Sajet. According to the website of the National Portrait Gallery, Sajet was the first woman to serve as the director of the National Portrait Gallery, and spent some time in the role looking for ways to put her experience and creativity at the center of learning and civic awareness.
Prior to taking over, Sajet was the President and CEO of the Historical Society of Pennsylvania and occupied other positions at the Pensilvania Academy of Fine Arts and at the Philadelphia Art Museum.
Her biography states that she was born in Nigeria, she was raised in Australia and is a citizen of the Netherlands. He came to the United States with his family in 1997.

Hours after taking the oath on the opening day on January 20, Trump signed an executive order to eliminate all Federal Government Dei programs.
One day later, the President directed the staff management office to notify the heads of agencies and departments to close all the offices of the DEI and place those government workers in these offices with a paid leave.
Earlier this month, Trump fired Shira Perlmutter, who was in charge of the United States Copyright Office, who arrived a few days after ending Congress librarian Carla Hayden. The termination was part of the continuous purge of the administration of government officials who are perceived to oppose Trump and his agenda.
