Who will be Elon’s successor? The most important online names for the DOGE CAP

With Elon Musk, leaving his role in the White House as head of the Government Efficiency Department and President Donald Trump said that the Dooge’s work will continue, the question that is now in Washington is the one who will take the reins to become the successor of Musk.

Musk, who has directed the Task Force for Trump Waste Reduction from the day of the inauguration so far, announced his departure in an X Post this week, saying: “Because my time scheduled as a special government employee comes to the end, I want to thank President @realdonaldrump for the opportunity to reduce spending”

Musk said that the DOGE mission “will only be strengthened over time, as it becomes a way of life throughout the government.”

Then who will take the place of Musk? Right now, nobody.

A senior official in the White House said in Fox News Digital, “DOGE employees of their respective agency or department will inform and execute the president’s agenda through the leadership of each agency or head of department”.

The official said that DOGE is part of the “DNA” of the federal government and that it will continue to function as it already has.

Talking to journalists on Thursday, White House Secretary, Karoline Leavitt, confirmed that “DOGE leaders are all members of the President’s Cabinet and the President himself, who pledged to cut off waste, frauds and abuse of our government.”

These statements call into question if any singular individual will successfully succeed in Musk. However, if Trump finds a demo successor necessary and decides to change gears, who could fill Musk’s shoes?

Amy Gleason

Although Musk was never an official federal employee, Amy Gleason, a little -known government employee who also worked at the Trump’s first administration, has been a leading officer of the US DOGE service (USDS) since February.

If the President decides to set aside any public head oriented to the audience, he seems likely to keep Gleason as a DOGE leader behind the scenes at USDS.

Gleason, 53, is a career official who was recognized by the Obama administration as a “Change Champion” for his work with various non -profit moods that investigates and raise awareness of a rare autoimmune disorder known as youth myosis. Gleason previously worked at the Trump’s first administration, which was then called the United States digital service before leaving for work in Russell Street Ventures, founded by Brad Smith, another leader of Doge.

Keeping Gleason as Doge’s chief would allow the President to maintain the efforts of the living agency while following the structure of each head of the cabinet directing his own waste cut programs.

As director of the Management and Budget Office of the White House, Russell Vought has already been a central figure in DOGE’s waste cutting efforts.

The Wall Street Journal reported that Vought already plans to continue Musk’s efforts, even in his current role as Shadow Head. Vought is a Trump’s narrow ally and a much more sophisticated personality than Musk, making it a probable choice to take over DOGE.

However, Vought arrives with his own political luggage, with many on the left that a “Christian nationalist” was launched and criticized his role as co -author of the 2025 project. However, the Senate was successfully confirmed in his current role as Director of the Shadow.

Vivek Ramaswamy

Vivek Ramaswamy, a GOP presidency candidate, was a single presidency candidate, Vivek Ramaswamy, has been widely denounced as the highest contestant to replace Musk at the helm of Doo. Ramaswamy directed DOGE next to Musk for a short period at the beginning of Trump’s second term. However, he abandoned his role of lead leadership in February to begin his candidacy for the governor of Ohio.
